The only aspect that is accessed during the quiz is the reports section to monitor the submission of the results and to prepare a report since we are still waiting for quiz leaderboard based on score and time. However, accessing the reports section is not editing the quiz and should not affect it. Furthermore, maybe you can have an option to lock quizzes (i.e. prevent editing) that should prevent unintentional editing.
